 Maker: Mercian China

 Description: In Memoriam Tankard for the Death of the Duke of Windsor. The design has been executed in black and gold and consists of portraits of the Duke on the front and the Duchess on the reverse.  Adjacent to the handle is the detail “H.R.R.Duke of Windsor, Prince Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David.  Born June 23rd 1894.  Died in Paris May 28th 1972”

 Description: This is a lion headed beaker was designed by Stephen Barnsley in a limited edition of 150 of which this is No 18.  It was made “To commemorate the 150th Anniversary of Queen Victoria’s Coronation and the Centenary of the Golden Jubilee 1837-1838  1987-1988".
